The pandemic has severely affected the slum areas of North Jakarta, Indonesia, particularly the vulnerable youth who are encountering an unforeseen gap in their education and are, therefore, battling with an enormous learning deficit.
Therefore, aligned to UN SDGs and supported by the FIFA Foundation, ASA Foundation's Football for Good "Football-based Health, Hygiene, Well-Being & Virus Prevention Education" project implementation specifically focuses on improving the level of education (SDG 4), whilst promoting health, hygiene, well-being and virus prevention (SDG 3) for vulnerable male and female youth (SDG 5), aged 10-14, in North Jakarta slum areas, hence, developing the students’ capacity on a long-term, sustainable basis. And we are currently achieving 52% female participation on a weekly basis!
