In collaboration with long-term strategic partner Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI), ASA Foundation kicked off Year 9 of the Coke Kicks Grass Roots Community Capacity Building & Life Skills through Soccer Development program with local villages in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Geared towards long-term sustainability, the Training of Trainer (ToT) Master Training program, which runs nationwide across 10 major cities, educates and empowers local community soccer coaches together with male and female youth through Community Capacity Building & Life Skills classroom seminars combined with Edu-Soccer training development activities. The grass roots program comprises of a series of participatory learning workshops, on-site mentoring with M&E activities together with soccer coaching development clinics and competitions for over 3,000 project beneficiaries. ASA Foundation also selects the best of the very best players for each city who will be recommended for PSSI national squad selection. The leading community coach beneficiaries will also be selected to work on future ASA Foundation projects across Indonesia, therefore, providing employment opportunities.
